Chelsea Women have returned to the top of the Women's Super League with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over West Ham. The Blues secured all three points thanks to goals from Sam Kerr and Erin Cuthbert.
Kerr Scores First of Season
Chelsea forward Sam Kerr scored her first goal of the season to give the Blues the lead. Kerr's goal came in the 13th minute, when she headed home a cross from Pernille Harder.
Cuthbert Seals Victory
The Blues doubled their lead in the 48th minute through Erin Cuthbert. Cuthbert's goal came after a neat passing move involving Harder and Ji So-yun.
Chelsea Back on Top
The victory takes Chelsea back to the top of the Women's Super League table, level on points with Manchester City but ahead on goal difference. West Ham remain in 10th place with just one win in their last five matches.
